Nutrition and Natural Health Sciences Association is an association to work together with innovative ideas and with mutual resources as a team. The association always welcome to implement the fruitful creativity and logical ideas suggested by members. 

Together we can create a big difference to achieve our national health targets, policy implementation, and approach to the actual needy person. Mutual Resource management and collection can reduce the cost of the target set by an individual or a team.

Nutrition and Natural Health Sciences Association is also known as NNHSA the largest Natural Health Sciences Professional's Association. We have a combined membership of over 10,000 dedicated Nutritionists, Dieticians Ayurvedacharyas, Yoga Practitioners, and Various Volunteer Health Care Professionals.  It is solely dedicated, Registered under Society Registration Act XXI, 1860 Under Govt. of NCT, India. Association is especially concerned with Nutrition, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Herbs, Botanicals, Yoga, Healing Therapies, and Natural Medicines. The Association’s mission is to bring about a paradigm change in the lives of those who are underprivileged. We believe that individuals are dedicated to the Association and hence have a reciprocal obligation to make sincere efforts for building a more equitable Association where equal opportunities would be available for all to live with dignity.  Associates strive to be an example and hold a vision of wellness for our society: caring for, inspiring, and educating all aspects of human lives as they relate to holistic health. It is recognized as one of the driving forces fundamentally altering humankind’s healthcare. NNHSA, established by like-minded nutrition and natural health sciences practitioners to promote healthy living. It is a community for scientific knowledge-based health and nutrition professional associations. The NNHSA is the only representative, national voluntary organization of various non-chemical medicine practitioners, nutritionists, dieticians, therapists, Ayurvedacharya, yoga practitioners, and various other health care practitioners including doctors and surgeons who look after the interest of health practitioners as well as the well-being of the community at large.

NATIONAL NUTRITION COUNCIL

As per the mandate of the Government of India, MoWCD has constituted the National Council on India’s Nutritional Challenges under the Chairmanship of Vice-Chairman of NITI Aayog with the following objectives:

  • To provide policy directions to address India’s Nutrition Challenges through coordinated inter-sectoral action

  • To coordinate and review convergence among ministries

  • To review programs for nutrition on a quarterly basis

 

 The key role of the Council is also to coordinate and review convergence among Ministries for providing policy directions to address India’s Nutrition Challenges through coordinated inter-sectorial action.

 

The National Council established under POSHAN Abhiyaan has met thrice till now. The main issues initiated by NITI Team and finalized during the Council Meeting include:

  • To provide a holistic approach, all 36 States/UTs and 718 districts will be covered in a phased manner by the year 2020. 

  • To include 315 districts in phase I and 268 additional districts to be covered in phase II of POSHAN Abhiyaan.

  • Finalization of “Package of interventions to be provided during the first 1,000 days of child’s life”

  • Outlined the POSHAN Maah Celebration Framework during September 2018

  • Food Fortification of staple food.

PUBLIC HEALTH AND NUTRITION

  • To establish a foundation of nutrition education and research an important tool to monitor the health status of an individual or a community and to detect deficiencies and toxicities.

  • Diagnose and investigate health problems and hazards in the community and suggest appropriate sustainable solutions.

  • Inform, educate, and empower people about health issues.

  • Enforce laws and regulations that protect health and ensure safety.

  • Develop policies and plans they support individual and community health efforts.

  • Evaluate effectiveness, accessibility, and quality of personal and population-based health services.

  • Conduct and promote research for new insights and innovation in healthcare management.

Overview of Nutrition Laws

There are 28 states where it is illegal to perform any sort of individualized nutritional counseling unless you are licensed or exempt. In these states, only Registered Dietitians (RDs) and Registered Nutrition Practitioners (RNPs) can be eligible to become licensed. In India, There is a total of 28 states and 8 union territories (UT's) in India as of April 2020. Each state of India has an administrative, legislative, and judicial capital some state all three functions are conducted in one capital.

Nutritionist: - Title nutritionist is a professional nutrition consultant with appropriate qualifications in human nutrition, food, and its impact on human organisms. The Nutritionist deals in disease prevention by guiding people about the right kind of food adequate in the amount at the right time. According to NNHSA, the qualification of Nutritionists varies in different countries. In India, Nutrition practitioners must have specialized master degrees in nutrition and food science from an Indian Govt Recognised University/college/Institution. Also, min. 1-year experience as an intern under certified nutrition practitioner and registration as a member under an Authorised Indian Government Nutrition Association Under Society Act 1860, XXI. Under NCT.

 

Clinical Nutritionist: - Title nutritionist is a professional nutrition consultant with appropriate qualifications in human nutrition, food, and its impact on human organisms. The Nutritionist deals in disease prevention by guiding people about the right kind of food adequate in the amount at the right time. According to NNHSA, the qualification of Nutritionists varies in different countries. In India, Nutrition practitioners must have a specialized master's degrees in nutrition and food science from an Indian Govt Recognised University/college/Institution. Also, min. 1-year experience as an intern under certified nutrition practitioner in Government recognized medical care center or hospital and registration as a member under an Authorised Indian Government Nutrition Association Under Society Act 1860, XXI. Under NCT.

Community Nutritionist: - The Title Community nutritionist is a professional nutrition consultant with appropriate qualifications in human nutrition, food, and its impact on human organisms. The Nutritionist deals in disease prevention by guiding people about the right kind of food adequate in the amount at the right time. According to NNHSA, the qualification of Nutritionists varies in different countries. In India, Nutrition practitioners must have a specialized master's degrees with community nutrition subject and food science from an Indian Govt Recognised University/college/Institution. Also, min. 1-year experience in the field as community nutrition worker certified nutrition under govt health department or Non-Government Organization practitioner and registration as a member under an Authorised Indian Government Nutrition Association Under Society Act 1860, XXI. Under NCT.

Nutrition Assistant: - The Title nutrition Assistant is a professional nutrition consultant’s assistant with minimum qualification in human nutrition, food, and its impact on human organisms. The Nutritionist deals in disease prevention by guiding people about the right kind of food adequate in the amount at the right time. According to NNHSA, the qualification of Nutritionists varies in different countries. In India, Nutrition practitioners must have a specialized one-year Diploma in nutrition and food science from an Indian Govt Recognised University/college/Institution. Also, min. three months'' experience as an intern under certified nutrition practitioner and registration as a member under an Authorised Indian Government Nutrition Association Under Society Act 1860, XXI. Under NCT.

Dietician: - The Title Dietician protected by law in various countries. In India, there is no legal definition for this term. But generally, for the public consideration under various Health care centers, Hospitals and government Departments and Ministry of Health and family welfare - GOI, a Dietician
a person who specializes in dietetics (A specialized branch of Nutrition Science). Dieticians are specialized professionals, trained in clinical patient care in different branches of medicine to support physicians and surgeons for patient recovery with adequate nutrition intake in support of prescribes medicine and medical care. Dieticians in Medical care centers may specialize in General lifestyle conditions, as well as critical care management in oncology, pediatrics, Cardiology, Haematology, Immunology, gynecology, dentistry, Burns, and trauma conditions.

Nutrition is the scientific study of food and its the process by which living organisms take in and use food for maintenance of life, growth, reproduction, the functioning of organs and tissues, and the production of energy.
